nice calendar

Date:August 21, 2014
Pros: magnetic hanger, spiral binding, storage pocket
Cons: glossy finish
I had a similar calendar 10+ years ago that I loved. This calendar has some things that the old calendar didn't (like the magnetic hanger and pocket to store a few papers) and somethings left out (like the matte finish for easier marking). Over all, I am satisfied with this calendar. I like the giant ruled grids and the scripture added at the bottom of each month.

A perfect design

Date:December 14, 2013
Pros: Makes A Great Gift, High Quality Materials, peanuts - need i say more?
I love the design of this calendar and the theme. Family friendly for all ages. Writing the names or categories once and then only having to change the calendar page is ideal. On some calendars the names have to be written in each month. Not bad, just a few minutes' extra work. This was given as a gift and the recipient was equally pleased at its usefulness and design.

Poor quality

Date:December 4, 2013
Cons: weak magnetic strip, slick/glossy pages that are difficult to write on, inside of calendar is smaller than cover
I have ordered from Calendars.com for the past several years, and this is the first time I have had an issue with the quality of a calendar for its intended purposes. I love the PEANUTS and so do my kids, so I was happy to find a PEANUTS Family Organizer. I just opened it and am very disappointed. The magnetic strip is not strong enough to hold the weight of the calendar on my back door (which is metal and has many other things magnetized to it with no problem). When I placed it on my metal door, it started to slide down all by itself. I tried several times, and within a few seconds it would slide down a bit. There is no way this will stay on the door while we write on it, open & close the door, or if we put extra papers in the pocket. Keep in mind that I have quite a few other small magnets on this door, and they stay in place very well. This calendar needs a stronger magnet for its weight. But there are a few other issues...
I also disliked the pages because they are slick, which makes it difficult to write on with a pencil; I think a Sharpie pen, and even a ballpoint pen, might smear. With a regular wall calendar, a slick surface is not a problem, but with a family planner, I need pages that are like writing paper. I often use pencil so that I can erase things on our planner when events or appointments get changed, so a slick/glossy paper is a poor choice.
Lastly, the calendar is smaller than the cover. The outside cover measures 14" across X 11" high when closed. When you open it, the pages are cut in on the left side, which was not apparent to me when I ordered it. Each half page (top or bottom) is only 12" across X 9" high (fully open, both pages are 12" X 18" together). Furthermore, the available writing space for each page is even smaller (12" X 5.5" on top and 12" X 8" on the bottom) because of the spiral binding and a quote along the bottom of the page. While the graphics are cute and I like the quote from Psalms at the bottom of each month, this calendar was not the quality I expected (in terms of the weak magnet and the glossy/slick pages), and the available writing space was smaller than what was expected and needed. Customer service was excellent though! They worked with me to order another Family Planner, and they are sending me a return shipping label so I do not have to pay return shipping (because there was a quality issue with the magnet). Thank you.

Must buy calendar/planner

Date:December 16, 2012
Pros: High Quality Materials, peanut, fast shipping
Cons: 13 months left when i bought it
2 years ago I bought a dayspring planner/calendar and loved it to the max, but last year it was sold out so I had to put up with not-so-great calendars. This year not only I found the planner I want, also it's a peanut character one. If I had known it's a 16-month calendar I would have bought it before Sept. Also the sale made it inresistable to place the order.
